Jake Bazel

Jake Bazel is one of the youngest puppeteers and improvisers currently working in New York. As a puppeteer, he can regularly be found hosting Mount Sinai Hospital’s television program KidZone TV as the always-endearing Charlie the Mouse. He also recently began working as a puppeteer, puppet builder and writer on the web series Going Up, which will debut in 2013. Additionally, he has been fortunate to work with Hyperactive Content, Meerkat Media, Prospect Theatre Company, Two River Theatre Company, Improv Everywhere and NYU Tisch. This past summer, he assisted on the build of many projects for film and stage as an intern at the Puppet Kitchen. As an improviser, he has studied at the Upright Citizens Brigade with Amber Petty and the Peoples Improv Theater with Rich Hollman, Leslie Collins, Kevin Cragg, Pat Shay and Steve Siddell. Recently, Jake has also begun working in animation voiceover and writing for children.
