Exciting news! The script for our play Powerhouse has been selected as a finalist for the Eugene O'Neill Center's National Playwrights Festival. Josh, Jon and the entire ensemble are incredibly proud and honored. Since our last public presentation of the show, we've continued to develop the production, and we're looking forward to when we can share our latest work with you. And of course we send a giant congrats to the writers who were selected to attend!
Big news! This summer's National Puppetry Festival cabaret will feature four pieces originally created for Puppet Playlist: "Sloth," by Marta Mozelle Macrostie, "Nothing Compares to You," by Marta and Honey Goodenough, "What's Up," by Melissa Creighton and "Davy Crockett in Outer Space" by Wonderspark Puppets.
We just finished the first phase of our newest project: Flatland, commissioned by the Ensemble Studio Theatre and the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation. It is an adaptation of the 1884 novella by the same title and an exploration of contemporary physics theories that involve extra dimensions of space. We're pretty excited by what we've got so far: the show involves lasers, overhead projectors, music and a possible appearance by a scale model of the Large Hadron Collider.
